Stochastic Reseervoir Cats interview

For the first time ever, Reservoir Cats Interviewed! on 10000birds by Charlie Moores. There are hints about their ID – and the interview is quite entertaining in parts. So does anyone guess who is behind the Cats after this reveiling interview?

Charlie:Along similar lines – Lee GR Evans: if someone hadn’t already invented him would you have had to?

  • Cats: Hehe, that’s priceless, and begs the question of who originally invented him. We’re thinking Mary Shelley, a laboratory full of crucibles, glass tubes, dangling chains and lit by flickering gas-lights. There’s a body dressed in an off-white linen suit and grey slip-on shoes lying prone on a gurney, electrodes and thick wires fastened all over it. As the thunder crashes outside and lightning starkly illuminates the scene before us, it looks like an unshaven version of the man from Del Monte wired up to the mains. A clearly mad, bearded scientist stands nearby, contemplating his creation.A heavy wooden door flings open, and in walks a short, stocky figure in a yellow t-shirt, knuckles dragging on the floor. The scientist turns, and greets the newcomer.”Barry! Did you find what I sent you for?”The poor dumb creature nods vigorously in assent, holds up a quivering, dripping mass of grey tissue, and proudly replies

    “Mahther! I have brought you… a brain!”

    The scientist strikes his forehead with the heel of his hand.

    ”Barry, you stupid fool! That’s not what I asked you for! It doesn’t need a brain – just an eye, an eye! That’s all it’s missing!”
