Just because “I and the Bird” birding blog carnival died – this does not mean that birdblogging has died. There are more birdbloggers out there than ever. One of BirdingBlogs chief objective is to share good birding blogs. Readers of this blog may remember that we started about a 6 weeks ago something called Top Birding Bloggers. So far 20 or so bird bloggers have signed up to the toplist.
Now we present the next step to promote these birdblogs – bookmark this site…..
Here is a feed of the blogs participating in the Top Birding Site. Do check it out – several times a day – because it is a great way to scan through the latest blogposts about birds.
More readers – more traffic
You will notice that the blogs with great photography or good headlines and sub-headers will catch your eye. Since this is such a fast way to read blogs you really want to be included here. It will not mean you get more traffic to your site at once, because there is hardly a compelling reason to click through to the original blogsite – but you will get more readers. And if you have links within, you may get more hits this way.
Furthermore, the sharing options to Twitter and Facebook is very easy to use, and this could also produce more traffic.
How to be included in Birdingblogs.Collected?
To start with – apart from our blog – we will only include the blogs that have signed up on Top Birding Bloggers site. These are individual birdbloggers. Once there are 100 birdbloggers included in the top list, multi-author blogs will be included as well.

UPDATE: Trouble-shooting
Some feeds on Birdingblogs.Collected.info do not show the images properly. Why? It is because they are not housed on the save server as your blogpost. It is always better to share upload your photos to your server or site than to share photos via URL. Also best to rename the photos, so they contain the species name or whatever, rather than an image number.
